Security
The Site Owner takes precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever the Site Owner collects sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to the Site Owner in a secure way via Acuity Scheduling (a Squarespace company) and Stripe (a third-party payment processing vendor). You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon on your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.
While the Site Owner uses encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, the Site Owner also protects your information offline. The computers/servers in which the Site Owner stores personally identifiable information are password protected. At no time is any payment card data collected and stored by the Site Owner.
Payments
The Site Owner may provide paid services when you book an astrology reading. In that case, the Site uses third-party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors).
The Site Owner will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to a third-party payment processor, Stripe, whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. Stripe adheres to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.
